Chris Armstrong, instructor at BeCycling is fully qualified to run Bikeability courses. BeCycling is one of only a handful of organisations within the West Yorkshire area registered with Bikeabilty as a fully accredited Bikeability scheme. More about Bikeability can be found here.
Chris has also recently undertaked training with MIAS (Mountain Bikers Instructor Award Scheme) and is now fully qualified as Mountain Bike Level 2 Group Leader and as such is able to lead groups on guided off road rides. More information on MIAS can be found here.
Chris is also qualified through British Cycling as a Childrens' Activity Coach and is able to provide general skills sessions for young cyclists which include road safety skills and bike handling skills such as signalling and correct braking techniques learned in a fun environment through the use of games such as 'Chase The Snake' and 'Global Warmning' More about British Cycling can be found here
BeCycling has also received funding from various sources which has allowed us to run cycling activities at a reduced cost thus making our cycling activities more accessible to all within the local community.
